First Baseman

"The Yankees have expressed an interest in Shea Hillenbrand. However, with Garret Anderson on the DL and first baseman Casey Kotchman expected to sit out several more games because of a concussion, the Angels have put trade talks on hold, according to the LA Times."

What do you guys think? Are we liking Shea? Personally, I think the guy is a mediocre defensive first baseman who doesn't hit well. And he's a clubhouse cancer. I say no to Shea. Let Cairo continue.

Does Shea give us more than Phelps at this point? I don't think we can go the entire season with Cairo, but I don't care for Hillenbran, unless we are going to get him for a song.

I'm not worried about his clubhouse reputation.

This doesn't seem like it would be much of an upgrade. I don't think it's worth bringing in someone with his reputation unless he'll add a lot.

You know who added a lot to you magnificent bastards? Donnie Baseball, that's who.

8 grand slams in a season, fellas. That's a lot more than some frig who picks on the Canadians and the gays.
