Everyone's Pickin' the Yanks
From SI to ESPN to Foxsports, everyone seems to be picking the Yankees to run away with this thing. As they should. With a payroll three times Minnesota's, twice Detroit's, and almost twice the Met's, a lineup twice as good as any in the game and pitching equal, we should be 2/1 favorites or better.
This year we play for respectability, not glory. Let us win or let us be embarrassed.

Does $ = talent? No, not always.
No, not always. Sometimes front offices are bad (like the Orioles) and get no return on their investments. But that's just incompetence.
But that's not the case here.
