Pitching Update

If there was ever a time we'll miss Mark at this blog, it is now. The Yankees will start former Kansas City Royal Kris Wilson tomorrow in place of Shawn Chacon. Where is our good man with a scouting report from Kansas City? I guess the search for the next Aaron Small has begun...

Here are Wilson's career numbers.

Where has this guy been the last three seasons? Obviously the minor leagues.

Why are the Yankees wasting time just applying a band aid? Where are the rumors that we're looking for a starter? I saw something on ESPN that we may be interested in Aubrey Huff. But of course it was an insider artile and I couldn't access it. Looks like I have some more hate mail to send to ESPN.

Is this the best we can do? Come on.

Well it looks like there has been some questioning as to who I am and what my motives are for participating in this blog.

I can assure that at least two of you would be able to identify me in a crowd. My motives however are the same as each of you: to talk baseball with knowledgeable people who love the game.

As for Kris Wilson, I don't think he's a band aid. He may have been brought in because Torre and Steinbrenner are completely exhausted with the pitching of Jaret Wright (who threw well last time out) and Shawn Chacon. It could be some sort of scare tactic.

I haven't seen much of anything on the rumor-wire for the Yankees. Possibly Corey Lidle or Abreu from the Phillies.

Wright has pitched well, overall, but you may be wright about Wilson being an attempt to wake Chacon up. We know he can do it. He pitched great in the playoffs last season. We'll see whether Torre gives him another shot his next turn.

As for recognizing you in a crowd, Ordinary Guy, I think we would all recognize you--Zach Taylor! Ha! Ha! I got it!

Zach Taylor killed Natalie Holloway. Ok? Let's move on.
