I had a dream last night that Joe Torre came to visit a group of us (Adam, you weren't there) in some weird dormitory. I asked him whether it was a greater thrill being a player or Yankees manager (he said player) and something else which I can't remember. But he hung out and chatted for like an hour. Nice guy.

Coincidentally, I had a dream where Larry Bowa and I went out for a night at the strip club. It was following the Yanks winning the 2008 World Series. (Hint: *your* manager wasn't running the show). You should have seen that "screaming loon" Bowa in the champagne room!
Was Bowa the team's manager? If so, I'm sorry you had a bad dream. I know you don't want him as manager.
