Pettitte Declines Option

Check it out here. This doesn't worry me, however. I felt he was going to file for free agency anyway, he needs to get his too. But the Yankees should be desperate to get him. They should be desperate to save him. He is our last, best hope, for peace.

Best part of this story:

"Cashman said Pettitte called him and they spoke for 10-20 minutes."

A player talking to the GM? A-Rod, are you reading this you bag of shit?

I love the fact that it's Yankees or retirement. Have you ever heard such a thing before? It's great.

I just hope he has a good relationship with Girardi, his longtime battery mate. I think that could be the key.

I'm already excited about next season. Mazzone for pitching coach? It seems like a perfect fit, no?

Where is the passion? The glory? Can we not remember Tattered Standard riding horseback after clinching the Series? A young Yankees GM proclaiming to have "knowledge" on "the kids in Scranton"? Cohen calling the Indians the "better team"?

Gents, I implore you to not give up on this ramshackled establishment, which has always, (and frankly will always) give you far more in return for the little it asks of you. As Jim Valvano once bravely said on the most hallowed of platforms, the inaugural ESPY stage, "Don't give Up. Don't ever give up."

To let this forum go would be a far worse atrocity than any Hensley Muelens strikeout...

I believe TAJT will speak with reverence and a solomn grace when pontificating about you Warriors in his upcoming memoir.

God speed you magnificent bastards.

Anonymous you're busted.

ANONYMOUS = Steiner

As kids we would often repeat that Jim Valvano quote. For it to be said here is no coincidence.
