Joe Girardi, Manager of the NY Yankees

The Yanks have made Girardi the offer. Of course he's going to accept it!

Girardi in. Mattingly out. Mattingly seems a bit bitter to. Not that he shouldn't King George brought him in to replace Torre.

Girardi should do fine. He's getting a different Yankee team. There is some good middle age places. Some good young guys. Some guys that are on their last legs.

Girardi wanted this job since he was Yankee bench coach. He got some experience. Cashman and Hal better get him a complete team.

The bar has been set this decade. The team to beat is from Boston. They're built to last.

Who stays? Who goes? The Girardi era is about to begin. Who will join him?

I'm almost proud of the front office for withstanding the temptation of hiring Mattingly.

Does this permanently strain Donny's relationship with the club? Very interesting.
