Edwar Ramirez

The Yankees finally called up Edwar, and he struck out the side (against 3 good hitters). I've been following him for a couple months now, ever since randomly stumpling upon his stats when poking around the Yanks minor league page. They are insane. Check it out.

Did anyone watch the game? This kid looked incredible. 90-92mph fastball, good slider that moved down and away from righties, and a great change that dove down and in to righties.

The camera guy kept showing close-ups of his neck, and you could see the arteries pulsating. He was visibly pumped up. Hopefully he can continue this type of pitching when it really counts.

He's already been named setup man. He said by next week he will be the closer. He said after the all-star break he will become player-manager.

This kid's got balls.

Perhaps he'll be a good pitcher. I look forward to him, Proctor, Hughes and Wang being the backbone of a young up and coming team in 2009.

Wow Steiner. You're not even giving them hope for 2008? You're just skipping to 2009?

Do you see another year of struggling? Perhaps you see some moves to get younger?

Dan Patrick is leaving ESPN.

It reminds me of the time Steiner conversed with Mr. Patrick, about your beloved Bombers no less, on a day that will live in infamy, in Warrior lore...

Hazzah!
