As an example of the deep Yankee bullpen, tonight our new hero Chase Wright went 5 innings and then Bruney, Myers and Britton pitched 4 scoreless innings. This saved Proctor, Vizcaino, Farnsworth, Henn and Mo.
This is as deep a bullpen as we've had since the dynasty years, that's for certain. The will be Wang and Mussina. They are both due back within two weeks. That's when we'll have a good idea of whether this team is a contender to win it all or not.
I was just looking at Henn...he's been great as well! It's nice that five of the eight guys out there also came through the Yankees system (if you count Britton's short stint in AAA).

Good Luck to him.
Now if he could only go 9 innings everything will be wonderful in the Yankee Empire.
Just don't get shelled or they'll have to go to the bullpen.
And they all stink.
Stink? Really? I think we have a lot of depth out there.
So, yes, welcome, whoever you are.
Also, Matsui is expected back on Monday.
Depth where? Starters? No. Bullpen? No. Bench? No. It all comes down to the little Yankees. Hughes? No. Dorf? Maybe? Villone? Yes. Phillips? Yes.
This team will go nowhere until Villone and Phillips are where they belong - with the New York Yankees, not the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
I think our bullpen is tremendously deep. But our starting is not playoff caliber right now.

No one can boast as many good arms in the pen as we can:
Bruney
Proctor
Vizcaino
Farnsworth
Britton
Myers

I completely agree. Every one of those guys is a power pitcher with the exception of Myers. The pen is very strong.
I think Mussina is a question mark. I watched him pitch: velocity has dropped dramatically and the control is lacking.
Wang and Pettitte will do just fine.
Pavano is on the 15 day, but what does that mean? Will it only be a few weeks? I hope so, he looked great in his last outing.
Iguana, I haven't watched him yet, but his stats give a thumbs down.
When Igawa can't hit 90 on the radar gun and doesn't get his pitches for strikes that's trouble.
When Pavano is injured, who knows how long he'll be out, that's trouble.
When you rely on what will be an overworked bullpen that's trouble.
Anyone think Clemens is coming? Anyone think it matters?
I wasn't very interested in the Clemens question two weeks ago, but now it seems very important to the Yankees chances.
All we can do is guess, but I'm not as certain as some that he'll play.
