Take a look at Gary Sheffield's line:

AVG: .119
R: 10
HR: 1
RBI: 5
OBP: .308
SLG: .186
H/AB: 7/59

What a moth.

Maybe Sheff's old bones are having a hard time playing in the Detroit winter. His numbers will surely pick up with the weather, though we're getting to the point (now 1/10th of the way through the season) where the numbers do mean something. I would be very surprised if he hit 30 home runs this season after his worst start ever at age 38.

Please keep us updated on this issue. I believe a bi-weekly post of the Master Sheff's line is necessary.

Yes, I agree. Also, if you'll provide me with a private email address, I'll make sure the updates reach your inboxes daily.

Cohen, I have yours already.

That "master sheff" line never gets old. What a tool he is. I hope he bombs out in detroit and turns on leyland, thereby discrediting the ESPN preseason pice about how master and leyland were best buds.
