A-Rod

I think it is more obvious this year than in recent years that the Yankees are going to have to score serious runs to win the American League. Our pitching is probably the weakest of the playoff teams. We have no Sabathia, Carmona, Beckett or Lackey (though, yes, Lackey got murdered). Wang and Andy had very mediocre Septembers and after them...yikes. The bullpen is Joba and Rivera and...shiitake mushrooms.

Which brings me to the title of this post. A-Rod must shine. He must shine like a child without courage like a night without stars. It is time for him to kick Jeter to the curb and make the Yankees his team. And if he doesn't, we're not going to win. It's that simple. A-Rod hits, or this team dies.

Go Yanks. Go A-Rod.
