Playoffs on TBS? 6:00 and 5:00 pm starts?

Watching the one game playoff on TBS last night was like watching paint dry. It was like watching a playoff game from 1975. I honestly would have preferred McCarver and Buck. The announcers were no-names and boring and the picture/camera work was far below Fox and ESPN quality.

Also, I'll still be at work when our Division Series games start. What's with these dinner time games?

First of all, let me offer my sincere congratulations to August 16, 1977. Although I tasted first place briefly as a result of Choke/AI's collapse, I could not compete with the juggernaut of 8/16/77. I take some solace in my second place finish, or should I say my "Wild Card" championship. As far as TBS, last night's coverage sucked. I hope they have better announcing teams lined up for the rest of their playoff games. I always thought Braves games on TBS were a snoozefest and apparently the tradition continues. The times of the games are weird but at least the Yankees games will be over at a decent hour.

Critch Dog, how does it feel to know you let into a bar Mariano's replacement.

Finally meaningful baseball played at a decent start time. None of this b.s. 8pm comes on the air, starts at almost 8:30pm, has 5 minutes of commercials, and ends sometime around Letterman starting.

Now if they would do pre-8pm start times for the World Series then I'm down.

Yankees-Phillies World Series

If all else fails turn your tv sound off and listen to John Sterling via radio or computer.

Andruw Jones? Melky is good enough for me. Andruw Jones is tremendously overrated, and I love that the Braves aren't going to sign him!

Meaningful baseball, indeed. Bring on Thursday!

Move Melky to left. Another right handed bat will be nice since the Yankees don't want to push Andy Phillips back too soon

Critch is right that the games will be over at a decent hour, but that means I won't see them because I get off work at 9 or 10. Its much worse in philly- the games were at 3 and 3, and game 3 is at 10 on saturday.
I thought it was a great wild card game baseball wise, but obviously orsilla and simpson aren't great talents. They're calling the philly series quite mediocrely.

Yeah, andruw jones sucks hard. .222 average, fading defensive skills, doesn't walk because he's a total moron. Why not give giambi a five year extension while you're at it?
