Playoffs? Playoffs? PLAYOFFS???
This blog is back. With a vengeance.
By popular demand, I've decided to do what needs to be done. And blog the playoffs. I hope you'll join me.
This year's Yankee team is by the best since 2004, the year baseball died. We are the favorites. We've got the tools, we've got the talent.
So, what are our major issues going into the post season? Thoughts?

It would be a bit overblown to say starting pitching needs to look better of late, but I would have liked a dominating performance out of Sabathia his last time on the hill. But Burnett's showing today is a good sign. And A-Rod has the hot stick. I think if the team remains healthy, they can do the deed.
They're the best team, the only problem is that anything can happen in a short series (even 7 games).
Do you think it's time MLB should enlarge the Division series from 5 games to 7? October baseball is a grind, but I do believe any team can steal 3 against another, and that's not always the "best" team.
I once agreed with that, but it seems that year to year the best teams do win the division series. That's not always the case, of course, by and large. Plus, the division series now has it's own particular charm.
What sets the Yankees above its competition this year is the bullpen. Aceves, Robertson, and especially Hughes and Rivera. Add Joba to that list and wow.
Speaking of which, is Gaudin the fourth starter in the playoffs?
I'm concerned that the starters will pull a wang and arod will continue to suck in the playoffs. Also, I'd like not to see verlander who can win 2 games by himself. Go twins!
