You're absolutely right, Andy Pettitte is a "money" pitcher...
Hey, I hope I'm wrong about him. I hope he's healthy, dominant, and makes us turn the corner to go back to the WS. I just have tremendous doubts about this guy.
Yeah, Andy really followed the money right to Houston the last time...
You had tremendous doubts about him the off-season after he won 20 games, too. Since then we've brought in a bunch free agent pitchers, costing hundreds of millions of dollars, and not a single one has been of his caliber, including Kevin Brown, Randy Johnson, Pavano, Wright, Contreras, Vazquez, Lieber, and more. The bottom line is that we've been trying for three seasons to replace him and have failed miserably. Funny the best we could do in all that time is bring him back. Maybe coddling him the last time would have been distasteful to the macho contingent here at Steiner's, but it surely would have been more cost effective.
Ordinary Guy, don't ever forget you're a guest here. We let you post because you're ordinary and we feel bad for you. We certainly don't think your commentary is anything beyond ordinary. So I wouldn't suggest insulting team members like you just did. That's extra-ordinarily bad behavior, and it won't be tolerated, certainly not from a self-proclaimed man of middlin' standing.
Well Mr. Steiner, I hate to inform you but the person who posted under the moniker Ordinary Guy was not the real Ordinary Guy.
I've actually been away from the MLB for awhile, only peeking at Mr. Steiner's Warriors infrequently. I'd like to continue posting, however, even though an imposter exists. Just look for my signature at the bottom.
You think I was born ordinary, OG? You think we're to believe that you just happened to "return to MLB" after an absence on the very day that an impostor posted as Ordinary Guy? You may be ordinary, but you certainly have extraordinary luck, OG. You're lucky you swooped in just in time to save your reputation, ordinary as it is. How wonderful that you "peaked in" on the very day that some fiend posted as you, sullying your otherwise ordinary reputation. If this were a dictatorship, which by God it s not, Allahu Akbar, I'd have you run out of here on a rail. But as it now stands, I'll just bite my lip and live my life as best I can.
Everyone, I feel obliged to inform you that I've had to reject a comment from Ordinary Guy in which he threatened to, and I quote, "destory you all and make sausages out of your genitals." He also used a common expletive that I found cliche.
I want to make clear that I have moderately enjoyed OG's contributions here at Steiner's. And until today, he's been a fine gentlemen and a bloody-right team player. But I'm afraid that we're seeing a side of OG that could only be described as volatile.
I invite OG to continue posting in a civil manner. Until then, I'll do what's necessary to protect the gentle dispositions of those of you at Steiner's. God knows you all need someone to look out for you.
Pettitte didn't just follow the money to Houston in a vaccuum. Steiner (the real one, not ordinary guy's pseudonym) constantly doubted Pettitte and spent an awful lot of time bashing him in the press. It really wasn't the way to treat one of the winningist pitchers of the decade.
Dodort, for one thing, it's good to know you still read from time to time. We'll have to get your up here for a cardgame after Adam moves up to Stroudsburg next month.
However, I take severe umbrage at the idea that I am Ordinary Guy. I am hardly ordinary. I am feared by men, adored by woman. You're Alexander? I'm Alexander. I want your heart, I want to eat your children.
But as far as Pettitte goes, you're absolutely right.
OG, I would suggest you invest in a basic dictionary before venturing into unknown territory. I respect your efforts, but I wouldn't try to rise above the ordinary. It is your very life-blood.

And you're a perpetual Andy Pettitte hater. The guy is a money pitcher, everything else is irrelevant.

As the sole member of the "macho contingent" I can assure you I am quite capable of coddling.
Fellatio, however, is not in my repertoire.
I'll get down on my knees for him. That's what I call "Power for Living."
Dare I ask how everyone feels if Pettitte's Brokeback boyfriend Roger Clemens comes back too?
You guys are dumb bums.

Hey at least OG cares enough to comment!
Dodort, yeah, I'm talkin to you pal!

Fine, Ordinary Guy is your Clark Kent alter-ego, used when you don't want to be mobbed by your adoring fans.
You men do not know me. I live a modest, heterodoxical life, indulging in little, but seeking truth.
My only passion is baseball. And yes, I may pursue that in an "ordinary" fashion, Mr. Steiner. But that is the only way my God dictates it.
